Little White Lies
Little White Lies, an independent film magazine set a brief to design an illustrated front cover for one out of their top 5 films of 2011. The main character of the film would usually appear on the cover, from the films, I chose 'Drive', as the main character has two appearances in the film, I decided to use both, as well as the two main colours used for the promotional material already existing for the film, realising this was close to the stereoscopic style of 3D glasses and felt that that style fit the 80's retro feel the film has, then utilising the aviator sunglasses worn often by the driver to make a unique pair of the 3D glasses. The back cover is a simplified version of the back of the jacket worn by the driver.
